Government of Treasure Island

Treasure Island has a City Manager form of government.

The City Manager reports to the City Commission which is made up of the Mayor who serves a three year term and is selected through a City wide election.

The Commission is also made up of four Commissioners each representing one of four Districts within the City. Commissioners serve two year terms and are elected by each of their representative districts.

Treasure Island is one of the few beach communities in Pinellas County which can boast of having it's own Police and Fire Departments. Treasure Island also has it's own sanitation department with garbage collection being done by City Crews.
