The Treasure Island Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the Inaugural Treasure Island Rubber Duck Race to be held in conjunction with the Grand Opening Ceremonies of the Treasure Island Causeway Bridge.

The race begins at 9:00 AM on Saturday August 25th, when the Rubber Ducks are placed in the water by the Official Starter. The Rubber Ducks will race (ride the current) under the bridge and the first Rubber Duck to cross the finish line will win that Rubber Duck"s owner a seven day Alaskan Cruise for two including airfare.

The only Rubber Ducks allowed in the Treasure Island Chamber of Commerce Rubber Duck race will be the Official Treasure Island Pirate Rubber Duck available only through the Treasure Island Chamber of Commerce. Contestants can purchase their Pirate Rubber Ducks from the Chamber of Commerce for $5.00 per Duck or contestants can purchase a "Flock" of 5 Pirate Rubber Ducks for $20.00.

Contestants, upon purchasing their Pirate Rubber Ducks will receive their Duck's numbers. The Chamber will hold all Ducks until after the race to insure there is no modification of any Duck. The winning Duck's number will be called out at the end of the race and the contestant who proves ownership of that Duck will be declared the winner. All decisions by the Chamber of Commerce will be final.

An After Race Party will take place at Cabana's Aamerican Bar and Grill, 140 104th Ave. begining at 11am. There will be food, refreshments and entertainment. There will also be a raffle. Ducks will be handed out to contestants who can prove they purchased Ducks. Due to the number of Ducks involved the Chamber will distribute the Ducks randomly according to number purchased not the actual number on the Duck.
