An entrepreneur and philanthropist, Bill Edwards' far-reaching roots in Tampa Bay extend far beyond his many business and music interests - which includes serving as Chairman of the Board of the Treasure Island Chamber of Commerce, Chairman and CEO of Mortgage Investors Corporation, Chairman and CEO of Big3 Entertainment LLC and Bill Edwards Presents, the influential recording, touring and promotional companies that have represented headlining superstars like Jon Secada, Josh Groban, Toby Keith, Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Cheap Trick, Stryper, Carnie Wilson and so many others.  Bill is a firm believer in strengthening community ties and assisting local children programs: in particular, providing care, comfort and much-needed resources for the young patients at All Children's Hospital; and through the Edwards Family Foundation providing community-minded outreach.  As a proud Treasure Island resident, he acquired The Club at Treasure Island in July of 2009, determined to build the local landmark into West Central Florida's social epicenter and cultural nerve center. read more

Kim Laskey, Director/Treasurer
Bilmar Hotel

Kim Laskey was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA., moving to St Petersburg in 1986. She has worked for the Bilmar Beach Resort for 20 years, working her way up from Bartender to Director of Catering to her current position as Director of Operations. As a key member of the local hospitality industry and community, Kim has volunteered her time to a variety of associations and organizations, including serving on the Board of the National Association of Caterers as Vice President of Membership; as Treasurer for the PTA (Parent, Teachers Association); and School Advisory Council. Her interests include reading, computers and motorcycle riding.

David King, Director/1st Vice Chair
Thunderbird Hotel

A Florida native, David King was born and raised in Lakeland, FL., moving to St. Petersburg in 1970 after his family purchased the Thunderbird Beach Resort. David graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, while working summers at the Thunderbird in maintenance, at the front desk and in Night Audit. In 1984, David assumed the reins as General Manager, and has been an active member of the Treasure Island Hotel/Motel Association (1st Vice President, 1994-1995) and the Treasure Island Chamber of Commerce (2nd Vice President,1995-1996). David began managing the Tahitian Beach Motel in 2002 and the Best Western Sea Castle Suites in 2005 after he and his family acquired the properties. David obtained his General Manager Certification from Best Western International in 2009. A Treasure Island resident since 1985, David enjoys camping, RV's, Labrador retrievers, travel, orchid gardening and antique cars, and is a proud member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.

Harry Black, Director/2nd Vice Chair
Mortgage Investors Corporation

Harry Black moved to Treasure Island in 2000 to manage the Island Inn Beach Resort. He has served on the Board of Directors for the St. Pete Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Tampa Bay Beach Chamber of Commerce, and the Treasure Island Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Gulf Beaches Rotary and Former President of the Treasure Island Hotel Motel Hospitality Association. Harry has served on various city committees throughout the years, and is also the Owner of Barefoot Catering.

Jo Massaro, Director/3rd Vice Chair
Benjamin's Studios

Jo Massaro is a native Floridian, born and raised in the Tampa Bay area before making her home on Treasure Island.  A successful businesswoman in the fields of Cosmetology, Dentistry and the Arts, and Co-owner of Benjamin's Studios Art Gallery/Boutique/Spa, Jo has been a member of the Treasure Island Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors since 2009. Jo is passionate about her community and the environment, and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation.  She has served in the Ministry for 10 years and her interests include art, photography, music and her Harley motorcycle.

Lawrence Mark Lunn, Director/4th Vice Chair

Larry was born and raised in Indiana, graduating from Purdue with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and Indiana with a Doctor of Jurisprudence.  He served in the Indiana Air National Guard and the U.S. Air Force and worked for the U.S. Navy and RCA as an engineer as well as a Patent Attorney for RCA. Larry was a real estate broker associate with F.C. Tucker Company in Indiana, and had a private law practice for 30 years, concentrating in real estate, estate planning and personal injury.  He also had very successful land development, construction and manufacturing businesses in Indiana.  Larry retired to Treasure Island in 2006 and founded F.C. Tucker/Gulf Beaches Real Estate.  He is a member of Friendship Community Church, Gulf Beaches Rotary, Treasure Island Chamber of Commerce, The Club at Treasure Island and Treasure Island American Legion. Larry is employed by Mortgage Investors Corporation and is a licensed real estate broker, as is his lovely Wife, Belinda, who is a sales associate with Century 21, Jim White, in Treasure Island.
